Can eStaffing Hire be used for contract or temp hires?
Yes. Alongside permanent placements, you can post and fill contract and contract-to-hire roles. Each is priced the way that type of hire is normally paid, and the marketplace works the same for all three.

The three employment types
Permanent
A direct, full-time hire. The role advertises a salary band, and the placement fee is the agreed annual salary multiplied by the role’s fee percentage. This is the most common type on the marketplace.
Contract
A fixed-term or ongoing contract engagement. The role carries an hourly rate rather than an annual salary, and is priced on the terms the employer sets for the contract — a bill rate and margin, or a fixed fee — shown on the role before you work it.
Contract-to-hire
A contract that is intended to convert to a permanent role. It runs as a contract first, with the conversion terms stated on the role, so both sides know what happens when the candidate is taken on permanently.
What stays the same across all three
- The same submission, right-to-represent and pipeline flow.
- The same single 10% platform fee — see what fees apply to your payout.
- Candidate ownership, duplicate protection and the audit trail work identically.
What differs
The main difference is how the fee and the guarantee are expressed. A permanent role prices off an annual salary and carries a placement guarantee period; a contract role prices off an hourly or bill rate over the contract term. Each role shows its own estimated earnings up front, so you can model the number before you start — try the earnings calculator.
